For some time, the Sea of the Inkas has been a must for surfers from all over the world. Beautiful beaches with huge waves seem to have been created especially for surf and adrenaline lovers.
Along 3,000 km. of Pacific Cost (Ecuador – Peru - Chile) you will find beaches like Puerto Chicama, famous for its kilometer long wave, Cabo Blanco and its Cabo Barril, a perfect left tube, Pico Alto with a nineteen feet waves, San Gallan Island, a perfect right tube and many more.
Many of these places have witnessed incredible duels between surfers and spectacular waves. Land of the Inkas has prepared special tours and safaris camps so that you can visit the magical land of the Inkas and raise your adrenaline to the max.

Punta Hermosa
Location: On the Central Coast of Peru, very near to the city of Lima, 40 km south on the Southern Pan American Highway.
Kind of wave: Rights, strong, big and fast, tubular sections. Breaks all year around.
Sea performance: Cold water, waves all year around. Average temperature 16 C.
Services: Punta Hermosa has all the necessary services, all year around.
Pico Alto
Location: In the Central Coast of Peru in the city of Lima, district of Punta Hermosa by the Km 43 of the Southern Pan American Highway.
Kind of wave: Outer-reef, rights, eventually lefts, can reach 8 to 10 meters. Formed waves, strong, long with tubular sections. Breaks l km away from the shore. Only for advanced surfers.
Sea performance: Cold water (colder in winter) smooth fluent in the breakdown. Better period in the summer with the northern hemisphere highs. Waves all year around. Average temerature: 16 C.
Services: All, in the town of Punta Hermosa.
San Gallan
Location: On the southern coast of Peru near the city of Ica.
Kind of wave: Right, tubular and long.
Sea performance: Very cold waters. Waves all year around.
Services: On the island none, all in the city of Paracas.
Chicama
Location: Northern Coast of Peru, in the city of La Libertad. Km 614 of the Northern Pan American Highway
Kind of wave: Point-break, left, considered one of the longest in the world. Pipeline, with 4 sections that reaches 2 meters. You’ll find strong winds against (offshore).
Sea performance: Water regularly cold. Average temperature between 22.1°C and 17.7°C. Strong fluent, the south and west undulations are the proper ones. Waves all the year, more frequently in winter.

Cabo Blanco
Location: Northern coast of Peru, city of Piura. Km. 1137 of the Northern Pan American Highway.
Kind of wave: Reef-break, perfect left pipeline from 1 to 3 meters aprox. Dangerous reef closeness. Not apt for beginners.
Sea performance: Better conditions between October and January. Best waves with northern hemisphere highs. Average temperature :between 28 C and 24.4 C.
Services: Fishing town with food and lodging.
Órganos
Location: Northern Coast of Peru, city of Piura. Km 1153 of the Northern Pan American Highway.
Kind of wave: Reef-break, left, tubular. Well formed, reaches 2 meters
Sea performance: Good conditions all year around. Average temperature: between 28,2 and 24,4 C.
Services: Lodging, food, market, gas station, phones and other services.
Máncora
Location: Northern Coast of Peru, city of Piura, Km 1164 of the Northern Pan American Highway.
Kind of wave: Reef-break, long left formed, can reach more than 2 meters.
Sea performance: Good conditions all year around. Average temperature between 28.2 C and 24.4 C. Variable fluent according to swell strength.
Services: It’s a fishing town with multiple services such as lodging, food and stores.
